Varudu
The basic conflict in the film’s script is solid but the director has failed to tell it engrossingly. First hour of the film is quite boring. Soon after the interval the movie comes on the track but again goes off from it. Towards the climax it bounces back, but by that time, one gets the feeling of boredom. Allu Arjun is there in every frame & shouldering the entire movie. Bhanu Mehra as bride lacks glamour. On the whole, the film lacks punch.

The film is definitely loud and over the top at times. While the intention behind revoking the concept of 5 day marriage ceremony is good, the story goes into a clichéd mode when it goes into a rescue mission. Allu Arjun gets better & better as the film progresses. Actress Bhanu Mehra whose identity has been kept under wraps all these days, delivers a confident performance. On the whole, Gunasekhar falls short of recreating the magic of 'Okkadu.

It was with great hype that the film was publicized & with Gunasekhar at the helm & his idea of creating a curiosity factor on the heroine, the expectations were high. Bhanu Mehra was average in looks & performance. At the end, the audience leaves with several questions on their faces.

Gunasekhar failed not just in the narration but also in conveying to the audience. Allu Arjun, given his highly energetic image, this comes across as a mild character which was etched out poorly. There is not much from actress Bhanu Mehra in terms of glamour or perfor
